Over the past year, we have been incredibly grateful for the opportunity to invest in students and families through educational, recreational, leadership, and life-enrichment experiences. Because of the generosity and ongoing support from our community, these individuals and students have been able to access opportunities that build confidence, open doors, and create meaningful memories that extend far beyond the classroom.
Highlight Updates
Rising Sun Camp
We have sponsored 4 students to attend a week-long experience focused on educating the whole child through mind, body, and spirit development. This opportunity provided students with meaningful personal growth experiences that strengthened confidence, resilience, self-awareness, and leadership skills. Many students returned with a renewed sense of purpose and a stronger understanding of themselves and their potential.
Wings Over the Rockies Camp
One middle school student with a strong passion for aerospace will attend the Wings Over the Rockies camp. This opportunity, upcoming this summer, will soon allow them to further explore their interests in aviation, engineering, and science while connecting with others who share similar passions. Experiences like this help him and others alike see real pathways between their interests and future career possibilities.
The First Tee of Denver Summer Program
Through sponsorship support, 20 students were able to participate in the First Tee summer program, which combines golf instruction with valuable life lessons. Students learned and practiced The First Tee’s core values of:
- Honesty
- Integrity
- Sportsmanship
- Respect
- Confidence
- Responsibility
- Perseverance
Beyond golf instruction, students engaged in experiences that emphasized personal growth, teamwork, and character development. They strengthened skills in positive conflict resolution, creativity, goal setting, future planning, and learning how to appreciate and respect diversity. These experiences continue to impact how students see themselves, how they interact with others, and how they approach challenges both on and off the course.
I-9 Sports Basketball Camps
Several students attended I-9 basketball camps during both the spring and summer seasons. Many of these students had a strong passion for basketball but faced financial barriers that made participation difficult. Through this support, students were able to stay active, build their skills, develop teamwork, and experience positive community engagement in a structured and encouraging environment.
Young Americans Bank Financial Education
Several students participated in financial education opportunities sponsored through Young Americans Bank. Students received support in:
- Early financial literacy
- Wealth management basics
- Savings and budgeting strategies
- Work-to-wealth planning for summer jobs and future goals
These experiences help students build a foundation of financial confidence and responsibility, empowering them to make informed decisions and set long-term personal and professional goals.
International Class Trip Sponsorship
We were honored to help sponsor a student who otherwise would not have been able to attend an out-of-country class trip to Japan. Because of this support, this student was able to take part in a transformative educational and cultural experience. Opportunities like this helped grow his cultural perspectives but also helped them build independence, confidence, and a deeper appreciation and education for the world around them.
Looking Ahead
We are currently working toward sponsoring a local fourth-grade class for a “Night at the Museum” experience. Our goal is to create an engaging and memorable opportunity where students can explore history in an interactive way, spark curiosity, and build lasting positive memories together at an early age.
